I am pleased to introduce my successor as the Executive Chair of the Emerging Arts Leaders Symposium, Shannon Musgrave.
Shannon moved to DC last fall from Salt Lake City, UT to pursue her Masters of Arts Management at American University. Shannon received her BA in Musical Theatre from Weber State University and went on to spend four years working for the Salt Lake Acting Company – a small professional theatre dedicated to developing and producing new work and emerging playwrights. Shannon plans to continue down the new play development path after graduation.
Shannon will kick off the summer by spending a couple of weeks in the mountains of Utah, then on a cross country road trip back to the east coast. At the end of July she will finish up her internship with Arena Stage’s Artistic Development department and then will be participating in the Kennedy Center’s Directing Intensive: Developing the New Play. Shannon is excited to be taking over as Chair for EALS 2014 and is looking forward to another challenging and exhilarating year at AU.
I want to thank everyone who worked so hard to make EALS 2013 so successful, and everyone who joined us for the events this year. I look forward to joining you all again next year as an attendee.
