Leadership just may be overrated. It takes guts to be a follower. As Sivers says, “the first follower is actually an underestimated form of leadership in itself. It takes guts to stand out like that. The first follower is what transforms a lone nut into a leader.“ So show some hutzpah and be one of our first benefit ticket buyers.
Neena is a masters student in American University's Arts Management Program. She's worked with many arts organizations in the DMV area including Studio Gallery, DC Arts Center, National Endowment for the Arts, Washington Project for the Arts and most recently, Joe's Movement Emporium. She holds a BA in English from the University of Rochester where she worked at the Memorial Art Gallery and was VP Communications for Delta Gamma. She currently works as a database manager for the Hydrocephalus Association, coordinates Kids@Katzen on weekends, and sits on the executive committee of the Emerging Arts Leaders Symposium.
